This indefatigable collector has assembled a collection
of contemporary tribal art that brings together a
resonant and meaningful body of work from Polynesia
to Africa. The artwork he collects represents a
time-slice in a set of traditional cultures that is rapidly
adapting aesthetically to global influences. His efforts
are focused on preserving work, ideas, and
perspectives that represents the way humanity has
made artwork for many thousands of years, and is now
in sight of being lost completely.
